Barcelona with Jenn & Andrew

Oh my goodness - what an amazing city! Jenn, Andrew arrived to the hostel within a couple of hours of each other, and it was fabulous from that moment on! I was blown away by the city's freeness, endless street arts and the mindblowing attractions. Got absolutely blown away by Gaudi's spectular creations - tell you what... you hear about people rant and rave about Gaudi's works, but until you stand before one, you can't begin to imagine just how magnificent that man's vision was. It quite takes the breath away.

Flensberg & Denmark with Jorg

Well, I have to say I can't remember ever being so treated in my entire life. It was three days living as a queen! It was excellent to see Jorg again! I was entirely blown away by his life!!! He's like a local celebrity! He -no jokes- knows EVERYONE in the city - we couldn't sit alone for 5 minutes sipping cocktails in a bar without someone popping over to say hello and stay for chat! It was wonderful to see his home city, and him so happy in it. He drove me everywhere fantastic he could think of - he had mapped a timeline and full itinerary so as to fully utilise what little time we had together. He proudly showed me his various projects around the city - and he has every right to that pride - it was mind blowing! Flensberg city is essentially his! Amazing. I was treated to every local food and beverage the city had to offer - entirely a delicious experience. We ate pawn curry on the beach, bratwursts at the drive-thru, Danishes in Denmark (my personal highlight!) and hotdogs with the strangest and most wonderful topping's I've ever tasted, the finest Flensburg steaks, and the most scrumptious icecreams imaginable... the list is honestly endless. The highlight was definitely swimming in the Danish sea, and obviously hanging out with Jorg again.

Farewell to Dublin with Steph, Anja and Maggie

It's never easy to say goodbye, but Steph, Anja and Maggie made the farewell just that much easier. Couldn't have asked for a kinder, warmer note to leave on girls!

Bank of Scotland Farewell drinks @ Viva La Dolce Vita!

On Friday, from the Bank of Scotland Ireland office, I faxed through my last time-sheet for the next 5-months! Unbelieveable. 3 other people were sharing the same boat as I, and drinks were very definitely in order. I was introduced to Viva La Dolce Vita! - without question the best bar I've been to since leaving Melbourne. It was fantastic! What a great night - dancing, drinking, and wonderful company! What more could you ask for?!?!?! :horay:

The Mullet

Graeme returned from Croatia with just one thing on his mind- mullet. He'd been thinking about it, and he'd decided firmly that he wanted a mullet for the day. Bewildered, but somehow excited, I agreed to grant his wish.

Nerea comes to Dublin!! Cork - Blarney - Kinsale trip

Nerea came all the way from K2 to hang out for a couple of days... we went on a roadtrip from Dublin to Cork, the Blarney Castle and Kinsale. Although it was the second time for me to everywhere except Cork (which I fell instantly in love with!), it was a totally different and fantastic trip. We leaned all about Celtic and Aboriginal history of Ireland with the Road-Runners tour guide (who has family in Kyneton!!), and walked the extensive grounds of Blarney Castle. We mostly just had a lovely time catching up though. A fabulous weekend!

Discover Dublin Treasure Hunt

The Discover Dublin Treasure Hunt was a fine excuse to get into Dublin's main attractions for free, and with a convenient time limit. Steph, Anja, Erin, Debbie & I took to the streets, and discovered Dublin treasure's. The girls started daring each other to do things - pint's being the reward - and from then on, the day was anything but dull. :crazy_freak:
